KCBS CBJ (Certified Barbeque Judge & Table Captain) Class
Minnesota Barbeque Society is partnering with KCBS to host a Table Captain and Certified Judging class. Upon completion of the class, you will be able to Judge and Table Captain KCBS BBQ competitions worldwide.
On April 6th, 2024, the class is being held at the B-Dale Club; 2100 Dale St N, Roseville, MN 55113.
The Judging class is approximately 4 hours, running 10am-2pm. Table Captain class is approximately 1.5-2 hours, running from 3-5pm.
Below are the requirements to become a Certified Barbeque Judge and Table Captain. You can do one, or both!
KCBS Judge Requirements:
To become a KCBS Certified Barbeque Judge (CBJ), You must take and complete the KCBS CBJ class (must be 15 years or older to take the class). One must be 16 years of age or older to judge at a contest. To maintain CBJ status, you must be a member in good standing with KCBS.
KCBS Table Captain Requirements:
To become and maintain the status of a KCBS Certified Table Captain (CTC) you must be 16 years of age or older. Must take and complete the KCBS CTC class (must be 15 years or older to take the class). One does not have to be a CBJ to be a CTC. To maintain CTC status you must be a member in good standing with KCBS.
To sign-up for Class:
1. You will need your KCBS Number and be in good standing with KCBS. If you do not have a KCBS Number, sign up at KCBS first. ( KCBS Site - Join KCBS ) then return to our event page to sign up for the class(s).
