Spring Training 2020

Location: University of Minnesota Andrew Boss Laboratory of Meat Science

The Spring Training Workshop is our premier educational event, this year held on April 11th at the University of Minnesota. The Minnesota BBQ Society joins the U of M Meat Science department to provide a full day program. The workshop is packed with lectures and demonstrations provided by meat scientists, industry professionals, and Minnesota BBQ Society competitors.

For attendees, the workshop includes admission to the day’s events, as well as a binder full of all presentations, a continental breakfast, an AMAZING BBQ lunch, and refreshments during breaks along with product tastings. The entire program will take place in the Andrew Boss Laboratory of Meat Science on the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota, main auditorium.

The Minnesota BBQ Society is an organization dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of the art of outdoor cooking. The way in which we do this is through educational opportunities and activities, for the casual backyard chef to competition cooks and professionals, all sharing the same passion.
